Yandex.DNS - secure home internet

I did not see the announcement on Habré, although Yandex may already have such a service for a long time. But I did not know, and perhaps you, %% username will be useful to learn about the Yandex.DNS service. Do not confuse with dns hosting from Yandex.



In short - there are 3 modes of operation: Basic, Safe and Family.

• Basic, as stated, allows you to increase the speed of response from the DNS, since Yandex has a wide network of DNS servers across the country.
• Safe - already interesting - includes Basic, as well as blocks sites on which malicious code was detected by Yandex virus, as well as fraudulent sites, although the algorithm for determining fraudulent sites is not described.
• Family - includes Safe, and also blocks porn, mu-aga-ga sites and advertising "for adults" and also includes a default "family search".

The page describes how to connect Yandex.DNS in a router (even firmware is offered) or a computer, there is support for IPv6.

What I wrote all this for now - unfortunately, I don’t have a relationship with Yandex, but I was interested in the service, judge for yourself - this is an opportunity for at least technically uncomplicated Internet users to protect their, first of all, children from unintended contact with content for adults (otherwise it won't work out - you can't fool the children =)), and also elderly relatives from scammers.
