Nissan LEAF robot car first in Japan received a license plate

The license plate was received not by an abstract robot car, but by a very specific Nissan LEAF, about which here, on Habré, they have already written more than once. Apparently, this is indeed the first driver's license in the world, which was obtained not by man, but by car, however, robotized.

Of course, without lobbying by Nissan, such a thing would hardly have been possible. Why is this company? The fact is that Nissan set a goal to sell robots-cars to everyone by 2020 . Among other things, it is planned that almost all autonomously controlled cars will run on electricity, and not gasoline. Promotion of their models of electric cars in Japan is another goal of the company.

It should be noted that earlier permission to move on the roads (in certain regions) was obtained by robots cars from Audi, Volvo, Google. But now in Japan, the Nissan LEAF with autonomous control can appear wherever its operator wishes. It may well be that Japan will become the place where the roads will be filled with vehicles with an autonomous control system.
