Million licensed Delphi / Builder for Russian students
On February 1, a press release was circulated according to which the Federal Agency for Education of Russia acquired licenses for 1 million seats from Delphi, Delphi for .NET and C ++ Builder from CodeGear (owned by Borland Software Corporation). In fact, we are talking about CodeGear RAD Studio .
The acquisition was made as part of the “Education” national project, which received the necessary funding from the government. The choice of product for Russia is quite logical. It is hard to imagine programming training in our schools and universities without Pascal.
And for CodeGear / Borland, this is obviously not just a successful sale today. This is an opportunity to get in the future a whole generation of supporters of Delphi and C ++ Builder.
