I really want to be able to choose at ATMs: to receive the entire amount of five thousandth bills, or to give out some of its thousandths, and some hundredths. It seems to me that this will improve the impression of the goodwill of the ATMs, and relieve the cashiers and cashiers in the branches. Because when a person needs bills of specific denominations, he now has to go to the office.
What do you think? Do you ever need this opportunity? What reasons can banks have for not giving such opportunities? What interface options on this subject have you met, and what do you think about them? Is it possible to come up with an interface better?
As in my opinion it could look like:
')
In order not to overload the interface, you can replace one of the buttons with a specific amount by the button “Select denomination of notes”, and there you can provide a number of fields for entering amounts in banknotes of different denominations.
Fields can be placed in two columns, linked with buttons around the screen so that you can quickly move to input in the desired field. Something like this (I marked the button near the screen with an asterisk):
* 5000 p each: _______ p. = 0 bills | 1000 p: _______ p. = 0 bills *
* 500 p each: _______ p. = 0 bills | 100 p each: _______ p. = 0 bills *
* 50 p each: _______ p. = 0 bills | READY TO RECEIVE MONEY *
* BACK TO GENERAL CHOICE | COLLECT THE CARD AND LEAVE *
When entering the amount in each of the fields - recalculate the resulting number of bills. If you enter a non-multiple amount - then the remainder of the division when moving to another field is automatically transferred to the underlying fields.
If the interface is not old-text-like, as it is sometimes found, but a trendy graphic one — it is better to even draw out the number of bills as a subscript, and not in one line, as I depicted here - to make a slightly smaller font and place it under the amount input field. The screen space will be used better.
ZY: And they would have repaired all the broken button for entering three zeros! On the keyboards at ATMs, it is almost always there, but I have never met her work!
UPD: article
Optimization of placement of bills in ATMs was partly in the subject, I think it would be appropriate to mention it here.
