An insult inflicted by one member of the Internet chat to another can have far-reaching consequences. According to the BBC , 47-year-old Paul Gibbons traveled about a hundred kilometers to get even with his abuser John Johnson, with whom he quarreled in the network "talker."
They met in a chat room where they talked about Islam, since both were interested in this religion. During the conversation, a quarrel arose between them, and threats rained down on both sides. Soon after this, Gibbons came to Jones's home (he found the address of the victim on the personal data page) and attacked him with an ax. In the house at the same time were the wife and children of Jones.
