JetBrains opens registration at the Kotlin Challenge - a programming competition for those who want to try a new programming language for the Java platform.
Remember, at conferences you heard reports on Kotlin? Remember, one of your friends enthusiastically told that a new Java from JetBrains is about to appear? Remember, the younger sister complained that she could not master Kotlin, because there is no Russian documentation? Now everything has changed: we are starting our own Kotlin Olympiad, and have even done some documentation in Russian for those native avid olympiads who have not yet studied even technical English. ')
We invite to participate in the Kotlin Challenge all who love challenging Olympiad tasks and all who try the latest in information technology to play the role of pioneers, conquering the unexplored edge of a new language, fight with serious rivals and win honor, fame and prizes.
Important:
only one language is allowed at the Olympiad (and this is Kotlin );
rules are very similar to ACM ICPC rules;
deadlines: registration is already underway, from October 15 to November 15 - training problem solving, November 16 - training acquaintance with the engine of checking tasks and getting used to the role of a fighter for prizes. On December 7, a serious knockout game begins - the quarter-finals, the semi-finals will be in February 2014, and on April 29, 2014 - the in-person final in St. Petersburg. Detailed schedule - kotlin.jetbrains.org/challenge/schedule
The quarter-finals are held in two stages (December 7, from 14 to 16 and December 11, from 20 to 22 hours), and in the first stage, the top 100 are recorded, which will definitely pass to the semi-finals. They cannot participate in the second stage, where all the others participate. Such a division into two stages was invented so that participants could play at a convenient time for themselves: in December, someone urgently needs to pass the test, someone needs to run for the presents.
Prizes will also be: all participants of the semi-final get beautiful T-shirts specially made for this occasion. All participants in the finals are awarded very beautiful Kotlin Challenge T-shirts. For the first, second and third places in the final cash prizes are awarded: 200 000, 100 000 and 60 000 rubles.
registration is required to participate in the Kotlin Challenge. Everyone who is 14 years old is participating.
