On October 2, in Moscow, within the framework of the “
Yet Another Conference 2013 ” Yandex conference, a round table discussion will be held on the problems of DDoS attacks in the networks of large operators.

The problem of DDoS attacks exists as much as the Internet exists. But in recent years, it has become particularly acute. The emergence of techniques for the rapid generation of a large amount of traffic, cheapening the cost of channels on the "last mile" and, at the same time, the lack of basic principles to ensure network security and services lead to the fact that a DDoS attack of several hundred gigabits is everyday reality. However, technologies and mechanisms that impede the organization of large distributed DoS attacks have long been known. Why not all large operators use them and what could be the result today - in the discussion at the Yandex round table.
