Curiosity found water!

As reported by The Guardian :

Water was found in fine-grained soil on the surface of Mars, which can be a useful resource for future human missions to the Red Planet, according to measurements made by NASA's Curiosity Rover.

Each cubic foot of Martian soil contains about two pints (1.1 in terms of liters) of water in a liquid state, although the molecules are not freely available, but rather are associated with other minerals in the soil.


Water can be obtained by heating the Martian soil.
