American entertainment comes to the Chinese Internet
The Baidu search engine, which is called “Chinese Google,” will soon begin broadcasting television and music video content thanks to an agreement signed recently with Viacom , the owner of MTV Networks .
According to Bill Roedy, President of MTV Networks, the American company will have the opportunity to work on a completely new market for it and become one of the few Western companies that have the opportunity to broadcast in China.
I must say that Baidu’s audience, with which Viacom is now collaborating, is pretty solid. A day on this search engine opens over 250 million pages.
