DataPro will open its first data center in Tver this year

Why Tver? First of all, because the travel time of the Sapsan high-speed train from Moscow will be only one hour, and the construction of a data center is much cheaper than in the capital. In addition, it is a large city where more than 400 thousand people live, through which all main communication channels go to the west, and there are a large number of call centers. Twice savings on energy bills are provided by a local electricity supplier.

The total area of raised floor data center - 1000 square meters. meters: four engine rooms of 170 square meters. each, designed to accommodate up to 400 server racks, both with standard power consumption from 5 kW and heavily loaded with power consumption up to 20 kW per rack.

The total power of the data center, powered by two independent inputs from the city, will be 4.5 MW. For the first time in Russia, the data center power supply system was implemented using a 3/2 N redundancy scheme, which was chosen because of its reliability, efficiency and economy. This scheme in the world is quite popular and widely used. In Russia, the Uptime Institute was approved for the first time, precisely as part of the Tver DataPro data center project.

Each machine room is equipped with seven freon precision air conditioners, which is inexpensive and reliable. Additionally, an adiabatic cooling system is used.

The data center has two security perimeters: each point of the adjacent territory is viewed using two video cameras, an automatic gas fire extinguishing system and an aspiration smoke early detection system are installed. At the facility there is a round-the-clock shift.

The connectivity of the Tver DataPro data center provides duplicate communication channels from two independent operators, and the presence on M9 allows organizing communication channels from any operators to all data center customers.

“When creating a data center in Tver, we first of all thought about reliability and security. Our data center is certified by the Uptime Institute as Tier III, and that says a lot. It is expected to receive a certificate UTI Tier 3 Design in October 2013 and UTI Tier 3 Facility - in I quarter. 2014 ", - said Alexey Soldatov.
