YouTube comments are renowned for their low quality, abuse and spam. Google went to a radical solution to this problem and decided to
transfer comments to the Google+ platform . From this week for some videos you can leave a comment after logging in to the social network.
On the one hand, this is an unpopular measure - not all people have Google+ accounts. On the other hand, it really helps to improve the quality of comments.
At first, comments via Google+ will be shown in parallel with regular comments only in some videos. But until the end of this year, the option will be available for all videos.
Here’s what a new type of comment looks like, with Gmail-style threads:

Simultaneously with the transition to authorization in Google+, comments on YouTube will begin to process more competently. For example, in the top of the best right under the videos will show comments from the author, famous characters and people from your Google+ circles.
It will be possible to leave comments on videos that will be visible only to your friends, but not to the entire public.
The authors of the video will receive new tools for moderation: a preview of comments, blocking by keywords and automatic approval of the white list.
