Everything you need to know: 300 words about IDCEE 2013

The abbreviation IDCEE stands for Investor's Day Central and Eastern Europe, which means that the conference is a place where startups can get acquainted with investors. In the current format, the conference was first held in 2010, and since then has become one of the main events for people interested in innovation, technology and investment business.

What to expect?

This year's IDCEE conference consists of three scenes :

• On the main stage are all key presentations. Among the speakers are Daphne Koller from Coursera, co-founder of Mangrove Capital, Mark Tlushch, Google advertising leader Jason Bigler, and many others.
• Startup scene - a surprise! - devoted primarily to startups. Here you can take part in master classes and listen to the pitches of the teams.
• This year, for the first time, a technical stage was organized at the conference, the unofficial slogan of which is “Geeks for geeks”. Technical experts of all levels, from young engineers to CTO international corporations, will gather here.

What can get a startup from IDCEE 2013?

If you are the founder of a startup and want to get media attention, fame and new users, feel free to apply for IDCEE. The expert committee will select the 150 best projects that will be located on the largest Startup Alley in Eastern Europe and will have the opportunity to win important and useful prizes.

The winners of the traditional start-up competition at IDCEE 2013 will receive € 15K for first place, € 10K for second place and € 5K for third.

In addition, there are several additional nominations:

• Best Ukrainian Startup in conjunction with the innovative park Bionic Hill (the winner receives € 3,000);
• Best Interactive together with Bigmir.net (the winner receives an advertising package from Bigmir for 100 thousand hryvnia);
• Best Consumer Startup with Yandex, prize - € 3K for promotion and advertising.

Startup Toaster is open for startups who want to make their pitch better and get an expert assessment. This is the scene where your pitch will listen - but not longer than two minutes - a jury of the world's most influential and well-known startup accelerators. After that, start-ups will have to “fry” by answering questions.

The winner of the Startup toaster will have the opportunity to perform with his pitch in the StartupBootcamp accelerator without going through the standard pre-selection procedure.
