Just the other day I updated my phone firmware to 1.1.3. But, having read
this topic, I realized that I did it in the wrong way and the programs that should be started and run from an unprivileged user are started and run by root. In the comments was a
link to the correct method. I decided to try to remake everything to be correct.
The problem is that my phone was purchased with firmware 1.1.1 and was unlocked using anySIM. I had to roll back. Below is a minute-by-minute log of what I did. Looking ahead, I will say that in the end everything turned out and works fine
20:55 Change the card to the original. We load inller and try to make virginization.
20:58 I read the site, I realized that before virginization it is necessary to roll back to 1.1.1. We do.
21:01 Fill up 1.1.1
21:06 I'm starting to activate 1.1.1
21:09 1.1.1 activated. Reboot and do virginization. The installer is updated to the last.
21:14 I want to try whether my sim card in 1.1.1 will work just like that. Does not work.
21:16 Do Baseband Downgrade. You must first install BSD Subsystem and be sure to turn off the automatic blocking of the phone.
21:21 Starting downgrade.
21:25 The process is over. Now you need to do a restore on 1.1.1. I do.
21:32 Restaurant passed. Reboot and activation again.
21:37 Done. We unlock with the help of anySIM.
21:40 The process has begun.
21:44 Damn! And I forgot that you must first upgrade to 1.1.2, and then back to become the correct baseband version!
21:46 Fill 1.1.2.
21:52 poured. Overload and roll back to 1.1.1.
21:58 Roll back. Activate.
22:01 We are overloaded. We try unlock.
22:04 anySIM is a smart thing! Without disabled, autolock does not work. Well done!
22:23 Can not work to the end. Writes Starting CommCenter and hangs. I looked in Google, spat, rebooted. I hope that the start of the service does not do anything for the unlock.
22:24 Put oktoprep. I will roll 1.1.2.
22:29 Nakatil. We try jailbreak1.1.2
22:34 We are overloaded. Once again. Fingers crossed. Works!
22:37 Getting Started Upgrade to 1.1.3. We put BSD Subsystem. The required file has already been downloaded and unzipped.
22:40 Turn on ssh and upload everything to the root.
22:44 We climb into the phone console. Run the update script.
22:45 Pouring firmware from the site of the apple.
22:49 It's pouring like that. It was necessary to fix this script, and fill in the firmware from the local machine itself. Well, okay, maybe it will be more reliable.
22:52 I downloaded. Something there is thinking to itself silently. If I could write that everything is fine. Calm down.
22:53 Oh! I wrote something and thought again. Looking forward to being nervous.
22:57 Something else wrote. I smoke.
23:00 Judging by the description, the last stage went.
23:02 Went to reboot. Come on, ship faster!
23:03 Everything works!
In total, it turned out two hours of time, provided that free internet is sufficiently fast and there is a full set of working software for the jailbreak of all firmware.
A brief note:
jailbreakme.com is very convenient for activating 1.1.1, and updating from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 is according to
this instruction. Links to the software there, but something has long appeared in the Installer.
