Belgian newspapers removed from MSN search index

In order not to follow the sad example of Google , the Belgian division of MSN began negotiations with a group of Belgian publishers Copiepresse, dissatisfied with the free use of their content on the pages of search sites.

Until the parties reached an agreement, a group of publishers Copiepresse demanded an end to the indexation of the agency’s newspapers published in French and German. Publishers hope that they will be able to persuade MSN to pay compensation, after which the content will again appear on the search site.

A Belgian court has already decided that Google has no right to use the content without permission. Consideration of the appeal to this strange verdict will take place on November 24, 2006.
