Million torrents on Pirate Bay

At The Pirate Bay, the world's largest torrent tracker, the number of registered torrents exceeded one million. The number of users in the network (peers) is already more than 10 million. Despite the active efforts of anti-piracy corporations, these figures are growing rapidly. In 2007, the number of torrents and peers on Pirate Bay doubled. Last month alone, the number of peers increased from 8 million to 10 million.

The statistics on the first page of the site usually show smaller numbers, because one of the trackers is too loaded and does not report its numbers. As can be seen from the technical specifications , the servers are not very powerful. Nevertheless, the project administrators claim that the system actually has more than a million torrents, and this is not an exaggeration.
