64 bit and programmers.

This is not the first time when installing software on Ububtu x64, I come across the message “your architecture is not supported (x64)”.

I switched to Ubuntu from one point of view - the 64-bit kernel, I don’t want my computer to run on outdated software.

Perhaps, gentlemen, programmers do not have enough money to buy modern hardware? - but then they are bad programmers. Or do programmers lack knowledge of programming for 64 bits? - but then they are bad programmers ...

I see no reason to stay on the old iron. And, if you really want to support the users of old hardware - then why is there no fresh software on Win9x / Win3.x / DOS visible on the network?
