Facebook fulfilled the requirements of Roskomnadzor, avoiding blocking in Russia

Today, just a few hours ago, on Habré there was news that Roskomnadzor added Facebook to the “black list” of sites and sent a request to the social network administration to remove all prohibited information within three days. Of course, few people believed that the social network would fulfill the requirements, rather, it was the belief that everything would “come to a stop”. But no, already now all the necessary actions by the social network have been completed , and “After checking the link, Roskomnadzor reports that all the service requirements have been met and the procedure for excluding the relevant entry from the registry has been initiated.”

It is worth noting that it is not very clear what kind of information Roskomnadzor did not like so much. Probably, we are talking about prohibited smoking mixtures. The fact is that smoking mixtures are banned in Russia, and advertising of such mixtures appeared on Facebook, which was discovered by social network users. Facebook representatives reported that all of this is a consequence of a technical error, and information on smoking mixtures is already being deleted.

Now, it seems, the problem has been solved, and Facebook will continue to work in the Russian segment of the Network.
