Opening Facebook-api for external sites

On Friday, a client javascript library was announced for the integration of Facebook applications on third-party resources. Almost all of the facebook api functionality is supported, with the exception of uploading photos and the fact that the application should be based on an iframe (not all native apps now use iframes). With the help of simple file manipulations and someone's mother, it was possible to embed apps onto your site earlier, but now no backend scripting in particular and mental stress in general is required from the webmaster - everything is done in 2 minutes, as long as the resource platform does not cut js.
So far, the reaction of the western geek community is extremely negative, for 95% of the existing 15,000 facebook applications are open trash and spam, and this has already been managed by everyone else on their own site. Now geeks are worried that the Internet will turn into a “facebook app, surrounded by adsense” ©. And the main trash-ups do not yet know about the news.
But from the point of view of the web industry, this is undoubtedly a significant event. First, Facebook continues the course of becoming a facebook-id in the global space - for a huge flock of “housewives” and “emo-schoolgirls” far from the Network, it can become the main network passport and take over the functions of the event. Secondly, for many novice webmasters now have the opportunity not to bother searching / writing the desired widget on their website, but to take it ready from Facebook - the benefit of Facebook is obvious. And for paranoids, there is now another reason to shake - for if integration becomes popular, then (if desired) in the hands of special services will be a botnet all over the web :)
