Tradinno: the world's largest walking robot

image

Yes, in the ranks of the record-breaking robots: the Guinness Book of World Records has the largest robot in the world, a walking robot that has legs, has wings and has a head that can “breathe” fire. Yes, it just so happens that Tradinno is a robotic dragon built by Zollner Elektronik AG. This robot, whose price is probably not one hundred thousand dollars, was built for the German traditional fun "Drachenstich". The length of the robot is more than 15 meters. It weighs 11 tons.

The shell of the robot is made of polyurethane, inside it has 984 hydraulic transmissions, a couple of hundred meters of pipelines and several thousand meters of wiring. Plus, the robot was equipped with 238 sensors, 65 axes, 272 hydraulic valves. In general, this robot looks almost like a children's toy dinosaur. He can move, walk, arch his back, raise his wings, shake his head, blink and breathe fire (yes, children's toys do not breathe fire). Only a robot is many times more than a toy.

Unfortunately, the robot can not fly. But it behaves as a living fire-breathing dragon probably would have behaved. To give the robot signs of "living" chips from Texas Instruments and Fujitsu were used.

In general, an interesting figure for the German holiday, is not it? I wonder where you can buy a ticket? :)
