Hello!
The very important question for us has arisen on
eZzZz the other day
regarding World of Tanks:
why is it impossible to change the binding to the mail of a private mail service? Everything in detail with copies of letters and in chronological order
eZzZz wrote in a
post here .
So what's the deal? But in what.
')
We do not change the binding to another email in normal mode.
We are going to meet users and change the binding only in exceptional cases when the account has been registered on:
• corporate / work mailbox;
• mail belonging to a provider that no longer provides mail services or has ceased to exist;
• paid mail service, the services of which the user has ceased to use;
• mail service has ceased to exist.
Since the case with the user falls into the category of exceptional, he was offered the opportunity to change the binding to the mail on a public service.
We went to meet the user, because initially the user account was tied to mail registered on a private server, which subsequently closed. However, the user expressed a desire to link the account to the mailbox again on a private server. Since there are no guarantees that this service will also not be closed after some time, the user has been refused to change the binding to the specified box. The user was asked to tell us another mailbox on a public service to which we can bind a game account.
The restriction on the game was set up solely for security reasons, since the email address to which the account was linked no longer exists, the phone number is not linked, that is, the account is not protected. Those. if the new private mail server is closed and the password is lost, then access to the account will not be possible to recover under any circumstances.
These restrictions on the change of binding are due to many precedents with the loss of control over e-mail and account, due to binding to private servers. This provision is valid for all players without exception. We can meet the user in the case of providing them with an email address that is registered on the mail server, which exists for a long time and will not be closed at any time.
For questions about Wargaming:
1. These servers are not long-term and may be closed at any time, which may lead to loss of control over the account.
2. We are talking about the risk of losing control over the game account, if the mail is deleted or not served. This also applies to cases where it is impossible to recover a password, or bind a mobile phone without access to mail.
3. As can be seen from the screenshots of correspondence with the Support Center, no one reported a violation of the Game Rules or the User Agreement.
All peace and a good ending on Monday!
