50 years of Lego

Lego is not just fun for children, but an excellent learning and developmental pastime. Who in childhood did not dream of a set of colorful designer? I think there are none. And how much happiness was in the eyes when, under the Christmas tree on New Year's Eve, Lego packaging appeared among other gifts.

Today, January 28, marks 50 years old favorite designer. On this day in 1958 in Copenhagen, Ole Kirk Christiansen (Ole Kirk Christiansen) patented this miracle. The history of Lego itself began, of course, much earlier, in 1932. Production began with wooden toys. After a fire at one of the factory’s warehouses, Christiansen thought about the production of toys made of non-combustible materials. After much research and experimentation, he still focused on plastic. Although it burns, it was struck by the possibilities of this material.

The recipe for the success of the designer in its simplicity and capabilities. From the colored parts of the designer you can make a lot of different toys, tired of one, made another. And all this without special skills, just connecting logical thinking.

At the moment, Lego is one of the five major toy manufacturers in the world, and the name itself has become a household name, all designers of this type call Lego.
