Apache and Skype without conflict

Today I ran into a little problem. He refused to start the newly installed xampp, fell off with the error "port 80 is already busy with another application."

I quickly found in Google the CurrPorts program, which showed that on the 80th port I have skype hanging. CurrPorts is a useful program. Useful, for example, to detect trojans.

Skype reserves 80 and 443 ports in case the local firewall blocks other ports.

There are two ways out of this situation:

1) Start the server first, then Skype.

2) You need to go to the Skype settings. There “Advanced” => “Connection” and uncheck the checkbox “Use ports 80 and 443 ...” (screenshot clickable)



It remains to save the settings and restart Skype!
