CMS + latest tech. bells and whistles
I was looking for a CMS that would easily swallow the Ajax library, DeepLinking, SWFadress, SWFobject, HeySilver,: - $ with a very simple system
publications. Like any seeker, I stumbled upon Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress and a few smaller ones. The minimum size was 2.4 meters, but when I patch to the desired functionality and design - at least 10 meters, while in the beginning I had error logs about a mile away. I worked, worked, worked, even thought to order a new CMS, but then ... ECMS! Performance characteristics: you need PHP, but mySQL is not needed to store content and other things, this CMS uses an IMAP mailbox, i.e. You can add entries simply by sending to ODA. E-mail of letters, for me it is cool convenient, because I can send an e-mail from my phone, from friends, from an internet cafe, and so on, this is just ultramobility. With proper ingenuity, I managed to make an RSS reader out of it, in three lines I implemented the latest content display system via Ajax (LightWindow2.0), and in fact it allows you to watch videos, make a gallery, read pdf directly on the site without a reader installed on your PC, embedded mappedUP (geographical beautiful news parser). I made a Dock on Mootols and tooltips, put in music, sharing and some more widgets. Then I compared with Joomla, much harder, harder, less flexible and uninteresting. As a result, I got almost a portal, it remains to finish the comments and something from the community series for the site, my desktop application builds save me from this.
