Tajik authorities deny that they have closed sites for "long language"
Users in Tajikistan were denied access to five sites, which in one form or another contain criticism of the local authorities, Regions.ru reports. These sites are centrasia.ru, ferghana.ru, arianastorm.ru, charogiruz.ru, tajikistantimes.ru.
However, the country's Minister of Communications, Said Zuwaydov, stated that there were no political motives in the incident: “The Ministry of Communications did not close these sites. The reason for their closure is the verification of a new technology currently being implemented by the ministry. ” According to him, as soon as a new technology is checked, they will also open access to the sites.
At the same time, Zuwaydov noted the existence of resources posting "unreasonable information." “To prevent this from happening, they will be closed for several hours until the circumstances are clarified,” he added.
