Coming soon: 5th generation microserver ETegro Hyperion ES200 G5
The previous article about the ETegro Hyperion ES200 G4 microserver for small businesses caused such a heated discussion that we decided to talk about the updated version, which will be available from the end of October.
The fifth generation ETegro Hyperion ES200 G5 server is built on the basis of a socket 1150 and the development took into account both the wishes of customers and ETegro's extensive experience in developing systems for data centers.

The system has become 25% more compact (dimensions 240 x 210 x 280 mm), retaining the external functionality and adding internal.
There are still 4 3.5 ”hot-swap disks available from the front panel, 2 internal seats for 2.5” disks (we recommend SSD for the system), 2 Gigabit network ports.
Despite a noticeable reduction in size, the system is virtually silent. Both fans are controlled in a wide range, depending on the temperature of the processor and chipset.
What has improved greatly?
Motherboard.
6 SATA3, USB 3.0 ports on the rear panel and through the pads, an internal USB-A port, returned D-SUB and RS232, use iSCSI boot controllers with iSCSI boot support, even a PS / 2 port was found.
Experience in systems for the data center is not in vain mentioned, the system received a full-featured integrated service processor ASPEED AST2300 with a dedicated port for remote access.
Not forgotten, and system identification LEDs from the back and from the front panel.
This means that IPMI 2.0 functionality is available, KVM over IP and Virtual Media, which is actively used by modern system administrators.
The service processor introduced an interesting feature - automatic video recording when a certain event occurs. The resolution of the movie is 1024 * 768, the length is two seconds, 2 video files are stored in the memory.
Otherwise, the functionality of the service processor is similar to that available in all ETegro dual-processor systems:
Monitoring sensor heaps, setting alerts, viewing system information and updating firmware, everything is available.
