TVC Project - History of the Russian State

I suppose there are few people who are not familiar with the work of Nikolai Karamzin “The History of the Russian State”. I would like to know the opinion of the public, how do you feel about the “simplified version” that passed through the TVC? By the way, this series of programs is perhaps the only thing that can be watched on this channel.
On the one hand, it is very great that in this way the younger generation can somehow get acquainted with such works and history in general. On the other hand, despite the “tasty” picture and Shevchuk reading the text, there are too many bills. This book can not be replaced. And do young TVCs watch? I doubt something. Any opinions?
