Hello!
This is the first post on Play's blog, and we want to tell you about who we are, what we do, and why people need them.
We sell movies on the Internet: the latest news and the best movies that can be watched through our application on Smart TVs, iOS, Android and PC devices.
Of course, we have a
web site .
')
We used to be called Yota Play and we were part of the company Yota, 4G operator. With this name, our video service appeared on the market 2 years ago (July 18, 2011, to be more precise). Over time, our company became independent, and is now called simply “Play.”
We make a family video service, fill it with great movies and really want Play to become a part of the life of each family. It is no coincidence that the name of our Internet portal has recently acquired a family theme:
www.playfamily.ruBriefly about us:
- In the catalog of more than 4,000 films and TV shows, we replenish it every week.
- We try to focus on quality. Wherever there is the possibility of offering a movie in HD-quality (720p) and with 5.1 sound. We also have movies in 3D.
- The main part of the catalog is new items. We are showing more and more films at the same time as cinemas.
- We have contracts with more than 50 movie studios, including the six most famous ones: Sony Pictures, Walt Disney, Warner Broth., 20th Century FOX, Universal and Paramount Pictures.
- We work completely legally, all films are licensed.
- Now in the Play more than 2 million registered users, of which more than 150 thousand people bought and bought movies.
At this point, you can stop so as not to turn our blog into a boring PR-tape.
Below are the topics that we want to highlight in our blog.
These are rather answers to questions about the market, our business and our service, which are often asked by viewers and partners.
- Many online services show movies for free, but we don’t. Why?
- Why do we have few films that go to the movies in parallel?
- Prices for cinema. Is it too expensive we sell films?
- How are we different from iTunes and Google Play?
- How do we live if there are torrents and VKontakte?
- What do we think about the new and actively discussed “law on piracy”?
- How do we protect content from pirates?
- How will the legal video market develop in Russia?
- How is the technical side of our service?
You can choose the topics that are most interesting to you, and we will touch on them first of all - let us know!
Also ask in the comments questions that interest you personally, and we will be happy to answer.
