Yandex is the ninth search engine in the world.

The analytical company comScore has published a list of the largest search sites in the world by the number of processed search queries. These are data from comScore qSearch 2.0 ( figures for December 2007 ).



1. Google Sites: 41 billion 345 million; market share of 62.4%.

2. Yahoo! Sites: 8 billion 505 million; 12.8%.

3. Baidu.com: 3 billion 428 million; 5.2%.

4. Microsoft: 1 billion 940 million; 2.9%.

5. NHN: 1 billion 572 million; 2.4%.

6. eBay: 1 billion 428 million; 2.2%.

7. Time Warner Network: 1 billion 062 million; 1.6%.

8. Ask Network: 728 million; 1.1%.

9. Yandex: 566 million; 0.9%.

10. Alibaba.com: 531 million; 0.8%.



According to Yandex , in fact they processed even more in December: 587 million search queries, and this is only on the website yandex.ru, without taking into account the statistics of partners who use the company engine.



Together, the search sites in December 2007 processed 66 billion 221 million search queries.

The Chinese search engine Baidu in December came out on the unconditional third place on the Internet, far ahead of Microsoft. This is due to the launch of the Japanese version of www.baidu.jp .
