Mars Pole: high resolution photo

And one more small note related to space, for today :) The fact is that the European Space Agency has uploaded a high-resolution photo of the South Pole of Mars to the Network. The photograph was taken from individual frames, and filming in infrared, blue and green was used.

The result was an impressive picture. White is frozen carbon dioxide. Red is iron oxide. The picture in the maximum quality can be obtained here .
