Rostelecom Wins Tender for Passing IP Traffic for STC

OJSC Rostelecom won a tender for IP traffic transmission for OJSC South Telecommunications Company (STC). The competition was attended by 5 backbone operators providing interconnect and traffic transmission services transmitted via packet switching technology. Who exactly took part in the contest, the Rostelecom report does not say.

According to the results of the tender, the offer of Rostelecom was found to meet the criteria of the tender commission and the company was identified as the first winner of the tender. In October, Rostelecom plans to sign an agreement on data network interconnection with UTK.
