Photodate.ru - New Search

For more than two years, Korolevsky (g.Korolyov) programmer has been developing the search engine of people from photographs. “This is a completely unconventional approach to image matching,” notes Alexey Lagutin, the author of the project.

Photodate.ru is an experimental site, one of the tasks of which is open public testing of the indexing technology and image search on the Internet by all who are interested.

The service is based on the original algorithm for indexing and searching images, on which the creator has been working for more than two years. A feature of the algorithm is image search by graphic content, resistant to geometric distortion of video content (scaling, translations and turns).

Photodate.ru is the first site based on the IMAGIUM search engine. In order to find an image on the web you don't need words - just “show” a similar picture to the computer.

“The ideas of the IMAGIUM algorithm arose in the course of communication with my friends and colleagues, many of whom in the past were specialists from the Institute of High Energy Physics. The main problem when working with geometry is too high dimension of the problem. The same difficulties are in the calculations related to elementary particles. ”

The photo search service based on IMAGIUM technology is open for public access and transferred to beta testing mode.
