Started pre-order Tessel
I already wrote a short post about Tessel , a microcontroller programmable in JavaScript.
Today, Technical Machine (the name of the company that created Tessel) began collecting pre-orders through a campaign on Dragon Innovations (a crowdfunding platform for hardware projects).
The price tag, as for me, is far from democratic - you can get Tessel with one module by paying$ 89 $ 99.

Before describing, for what and how much they ask to pay, I will give a little help on the modules:
They are divided into 2 classes: A and B.
Class A Modules: MicroSD *, Servo Driver **, Accelerometer, Relay, and / or Climate (Temperature / Humidity)
Class B modules: Audio, GPS, RFID, and / or Bluetooth LE
$ 89 - Tessel + 1 class A module (early delivery) (limited, all quotas have already been exhausted)
$ 99 - Tessel + 1 class A module (the same as the first item, but without the condition of early delivery)
$ 124 - Tessel + 1 Class B Module
$ 349 - Master Pack (Tessel + all 9 modules)
$ 25 - 1 Class A Module
$ 50 - 1 module class B
$ 1000 - Beta Test Tessel Pack (3 Tesselʻa and all 9 modules, become, you can say, the official beta-tester)
$ 5000 - Time with the Team (a strange item, from the description, they say, if you need a module that is not there, we will meet and discuss, but I think the previous item goes in the appendage)
you can still just buy a t-shirt for $ 20
The goal of the campaign is to collect $ 50,000, and apparently it will turn out to collect more: at the moment, $ 33,000 has been collected (by the way, half an hour ago it was $ 14,000)
Of course, I don’t understand microcontrollers, but it seems to me that prices are quite high (Arduino with several modules on eBay can be bought for less than $ 99, as far as I know), if I am mistaken, I hope more knowledgeable people will correct me in comments.
