Experts accurately measured how much the productivity of office workers increases when installing monitors of a larger size. In particular, 30-inch monitors, installed instead of standard “Fifteen”, “Semen” or “Nine”, are able to increase labor productivity by 50-65%. This was
reported by experts from the company Pfeiffer Consulting , conducted a study commissioned by Apple. They took a large 30-inch Apple Cinema display and compared how quickly employees performed standard office tasks — typing and editing text, working with spreadsheets, and so on.
As a result, it turned out that the main advantage of a monitor with a large diagonal is the ability to place windows not on top of each other, but side by side. And even copying files from one folder to another when using a 30-inch monitor is faster.
However, some experts believe that the percentage by which labor productivity increases when changing the monitor is too high. In their opinion, the difference is a maximum of 5%, reports MacWorld.
