Hello.
I would like to contact you personally and inform you that we have decided to close the service myOpenID. It will be turned off on February 1, 2014.
In 2006, Janrain created myOpenID to make online registration easier. Since then, social networks and email providers. emails such as Facebook, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn and Yahoo !, have adopted open identification standards. Now the billions of people who have created accounts through these services can use them to conveniently register on sites across the Internet as myOpenID intended.
By 2009, it became obvious that the vast majority of customers preferred to use an existing account from a well-known provider rather than create a separate myOpenID. As a result, our core business has changed to achieve the desired, and we have introduced social authorization technology. Although the technology is a little different from what it was in 2006, I’m sure that we still perform our initial task: people need to take control of their Internet identity and have the right to use them on many Internet sites.

I can understand the frustration of this news from those who are still actively using myOpenID, and I apologize if this causes you inconvenience. We postpone the closure of the service until February 1, 2014. This will give you time to start using other accounts on the sites where you are using myOpenID today.
Speaking on behalf of Janrain, I really appreciate your support for myOpenID.
Respectfully,
Larry
