Ukraine remains exactly one month to #FailOverConf!

Probably, one of you already knows that the specialized technology conference “FailOver Conference Ukraine” will be held on October 3, 2013 in Kiev.

Despite the fact that there is still a whole month left before the event, the number of participants is already going up by the hundreds!

Today we are doing a small review of the most “delicious” reports - to dispel doubts of those who are already thinking about participating, but have not registered yet, and also tell everyone who has not heard about “FailOver Conference Ukraine” : you have to be in Kiev on October 3rd ! :)

* Andrei Aksenov from Sphinx hardly needs to be introduced - always a bright and interesting speaker. “How we develop Sphinx” is a living and life story “without embellishment” about how the development process is going on, how a product like Sphinx lives and develops.

* Percona Server - perhaps one of the most famous and functional forks MySQL. And we have two full speakers from Percona ! Mikhail Rikmas and Roman Vinar will talk about how Percona XtraDB Cluster works and how to back up MySQL servers (well, for example, did you try to use binlog for backups?)

* Evgeny Potapov ( “Sum of IT” ) - with a live case “How we made video distribution for carambatv.ru”. A very detailed story about all the nuances of video distribution: from technology (preparation and video conversion, synchronization of heavy content between different DCs) to “lyricism” (how to save on hosting and deal with abuse from detractors).

* In Russia there is Habr. There is DOU.ua in Ukraine. Maxim Ishchenko from DOU.ua will talk about how to protect developers from themselves. And most importantly - why it is needed.

* The term HandlerSocket has been heard by many. Those who apply it in practice are many times less. Maybe just because they do not know how to "cook"? Badoo's Sergei Averin will give a detailed account of what it is, where and how to use it. Figures, graphics, pieces of code ... Only hardcore!

* “In phpconf, Marcus was asked how they use php in google. He replied that they have a page through which they order pizza, so here it is written in php . ” But ... Joking aside. Unlike PHP, with MySQL at Google everything is serious: your patches, a serious MySQL server infrastructure. It seems that there should be no more doubts about participation in “FailOver Conference” ? :) Must have for all developers and system administrators.

Participation in the conference is paid. And it is worth hurrying up with registration and payment - only until September 15 there is a special price of 500 UAH. From September 16th, the price will be higher.
