Nokia Lumia 1020: Visual Advantage in Jing Zhang's Vision
English designer with Chinese roots Jing Zhang (Jing Zhang) has created an amazing infographic for Nokia Lumia 1020 . This work was a continuation of her popular series “Imaginary Factory”, which tells how different objects are arranged. Jing Zhang has been working in the field of illustrations, typography and design for the past five years. She settled in London in 2007 and initially planned to build a career in clothing design. But the economic downturn of 2008 confused all the cards - and she had to take up graphic design for an unpaid internship in a small company. In this difficult time, Computer Arts magazine received a young designer working on one of the covers. For a recent graduate, this was, she said, more a gift from the gods than a job. Plus, such a proposal reinforced Zhang's intention to become an illustrator — which is what she is doing now.

She was inspired by her childhood memories of the creation of the Imaginary Factory collection - the Polly Pocket series of toys. Easily fit in a pocket in an open state turned into a dollhouse, inside which "lived" several small characters of the series. Young Zhang fascinated this miniature world, which was later reflected in her other works, such as the typography of the Resort Type .
Many projects of Zhang are devoted to various technologies. In reflecting the inner workings of gadgets, it is especially interesting for her to find the optimal combination of facts and fantasy. Fictional technical details should be based on some real basis, while it is important not to overdo it, so that the infographic does not become a technical guide. As Zhang says, she is very interested in understanding how the subject works, and then transforming it into a visual fantasy work. The final picture is intended to be a joke, understandable to all.
When working on the Nokia Lumia 1020 infographic, Zhang used Cinema 4D to create a three-dimensional spatial environment. When the perspective and viewing angle were displayed, the image was further refined in Adobe Illustrator. The designer believes that a sign of a good infographic is a good combination of creativity and informational fullness. Properly selected number of illustrations is designed to help more easily perceive complex data.
Zhang loves photography, and she likes the opportunities that the Lumia 1020 offers to her like-minded people. Of the 41 advantages of our camera phone for her, she especially highlights these five:
