Registration in E-shops

Quite recently, they asked me to write a store, provided TK, talked about the budget, etc. - everything is as usual. Looking through the TK, I saw a mandatory item - “mandatory registration”, and further along the TK, there is nothing at all that would require this registration. There is no payment by credit card, there is no purchase history, there is no choice (for example) of the interface language either.
The question arose - is it necessary to register at stores that offer non-consumer goods? For example, expensive toys or expensive perfume? Maybe it only complicates the process of buying and scares potential buyers?
