
Over the past six months, a fair amount of social networks have appeared for motorists (from what immediately comes to mind:

car ), and they all offer roughly the same thing - to unite motorists, to create a single platform for communication, that is actually combine forums of different car clubs on one resource.
However, an interesting fact - not all owners of cars are motorists. That is, not all car owners want to discuss the experience of a neighbor installing xenon or engine bulkhead in a garage. Some of them refer to the car exclusively as a means of transportation (I confess, I myself belong to their number). But their cars also break down, need to be washed and “pereobuvki”, so they are forced to look for high-quality service stations, car washes and tire fittings.

I will tell you how we argued when creating a similar resource.
1. MapOf course, such a resource requires a map, and with the auto service objects marked on it. A simpler way of targeting the terrain has not yet been invented.
2. Adding new objects to usersNo editor knows about the city as much as its inhabitants know about it. Only they are known to wash without queues, tire fittings, where they repair side cuts, car services that can be safely recommended to a friend - which means each user should be able not only to write a review, but add a new object to the map.
3. Advanced SearchIn order to go, for example, in a car-care center it is not enough to know where it is located. You need to know for sure whether it is engaged in repairing your brand of machines, what range of services it provides and when it works. That is, you need to be able to search for auto services by a large number of parameters, for example:
- Mazda services engaged in the repair of automatic transmissions,
- Ford dealerships with the ability to order a test drive,
- round-the-clock car washes,
- gas stations.

4. Quality and completeness of informationIn order to be able to search by a large number of parameters, information about each service station or auto show must be complete and well structured. This will slow down the speed of adding new objects by users a little, but will greatly improve the quality of information.
5. User ReviewsIf a person has never been in a service station, in which he is going, then one of the most important criteria for making the final decision is advice or feedback from those who have already been there (in poor service it’s not enough that the money will be tampered with and the car can be spoiled). Only on the basis of feedback from people can one understand how the service works, which means that reviews should become an important part of such a resource.
All these ideas formed the basis of
AvtoTochek - a resource for quick search of
auto services and their discussion. About two months the project was in the stage of closed testing, and today it has moved to the open stage - anyone can register.
