I came, looked around, walked through thematic "hubs", read "The best of all time", looked through the articles of individual characters that interested me and realized that in order to better understand how this wonderful community lives and what it is, I will have to Habr parse and ask him different questions. Moreover, since in my articles I wrote mostly about auto reference in its various manifestations, how can I not write an article about Habré in Habré?

On a relatively small number of articles, my parser written on my knee fell, I decided that the above lists would not change that much. Then I will go through these articles separately and lay out all the results as a table in csv format, for independent research of readers.

2) Rating normalization. Article rating in 2006 is not at all the same as a similar rating in 2013. Unfortunately, the parameter "number of views" was not always on Habré, then you have to invent something, for example, take into account the number of users registered at the time of this writing. Well, review the top after such a normalization.
3) Habr's frequency dictionary and its comparison with other frequency dictionaries, such as Wikipedia. It is also interesting to compare the vocabulary of articles with the vocabulary of comments.
4) Use Habr as a material for the generator of Markov chains, automatic generation of “articles” and “comments”.
5) Try to teach some Bayesian spam filter to distinguish between “good” articles and “bad” articles. I strongly doubt the success of such an event, because I hope that the meaning of the article is important for evaluation, and not just the words that make it up. But you never know.
6) Any correlation search. between everything and everyone.

9) Least interesting, but also can be done. For lovers ... GHM ... to meditate on the rating and karma. What are these numbers like? What percentage of articles has a higher rating than my wonderful article? What percentage of users have karma longer and fatter than me? Beautiful graphics can be drawn, of course. Even from the same series - what will the overall rating look like if those who do not participate in it (Habr's employees) suddenly decide to participate? What will the rating look like if you remove the pessimization and begin to take into account past merits?
