Jolla: pre-order over, design updated

Today was presented a render of the second version of the prototype.

Noticeable differences from the original idea:

• the main camera has shifted to the center
• all buttons moved from the left side to the right
• frame size on top has been reduced

Also, yesterday it was announced the completion of the first stage of pre-order. Specific results are not voiced, limiting themselves to general phrases like “everything is fine” (which causes fear in the background of a broken Ubuntu Edge), but there was a rumor among the community that the first batch would consist of 50,000 smartphones.

Pre-order is scheduled to resume in the fall, the conditions are still unknown.
