Digg.com closes fan site due to fear of losing brand

Recently, Google banned “google” , fearing for its brand (and this was called “ one of the worst PR moves in history ”). And now the panic has reached the creators of Digg.com. At first, the lawyers closed down DiggGames.com, which was posting dugged flash games, which caused a storm of indignation in the community . Following the administration explained its actions in the official blog :

It was a digg. I had the filed for the trademark. Apparently if you don’t use it, you’ll run the chance of losing it ... which would be a suck. We want you to lose our name.
