Google launches video calls with experts

Google is testing the Helpouts service - which is being presented as “a new way to connect people who need help, who can provide this help, through real-time video, anytime, anywhere,” writes The Next Web.

The new service will be tied to Google+ and in fact will be a hangout (hangouts) - just not with friends, but with teachers.

The service is not yet open for use, so far Google is only looking for people with experience in various fields. The project description lists eight categories: home and garden, computers and electronics, health and counseling, nutrition and fitness, fashion and beauty, art and music, cooking, education.

It seems that Google intends to take seriously a set of experts: those who want to become them will have to provide proof of their qualifications, such as certificates, training and experience. If you choose to provide medical assistance, Google will also involve a third party to verify your certificate or license.

Experts will be able to help both paid and free. In the case of a paid option, payment is made through Google Wallet and Google charges a 20% commission.
