New "victims" of anti-piracy law: "Game of Thrones" and other series

By decision of the Moscow City Court, access to "pirated" copies of some serials from A Series (a subsidiary of Amedia) should be closed. It seems that anti-piracy law begins to work in full force. It is worth noting that the director of "Thrones" and the HBO channel have repeatedly said that the illegally distributed copies of films / series only increase sales of licensed products.

Among other things, the decision also applies to such TV shows as “Underworld Empire” (Boardwalk Empire), “Banshee” (Banshee), “Handsome” (Entourage), “Newsroom”, “Rome” (Rome), “ Ray Donovan ”(Ray Donovan)“ The Borgias ”,“ True Blood ”(True Blood). "Amedia" demanded in court to close access to the first seasons of these series, although in some cases we are talking about 3-4-5 seasons.

It is worth noting that now according to the "anti-piracy" law, decisions were made on 14 such applications, so the law, although slowly, but is in effect. He began to work on August 1, so that on the day, the decision is made on less than one application of the right holders (although the application may involve several films / series at once).
