RIAA website cleaned by “hackers”

It is obvious that the RIAA is too busy with litigations with consumers to hire decent programmers. Through simple “SQL injection”, their propaganda was successfully removed from the site.

A start was made on the Reddit website, where a link was placed to a really slow SQL server query. While Reddit users were trying to terminate the server, according to some, someone definitely made a contribution and rubbed the entire database.

So far, comments on Reddit are conducted only in the form of a discussion, in a semi-anonymous form (the names of the authors of the comments have no links), so it is impossible to establish their affiliation, as well as those who could find another way to remove content from the RIAA website.

It is also possible that the RIAA itself removed content for the duration of the troubleshooting. It is unlikely to disconnect the database the best solution for a big problem with the database. While this vulnerability can be debugged in a few seconds. an isolated problem is not a solution.

As noted by Haywire , playing with a link you can achieve funny results. For example, getting the RIAA on The Pirate Bay is completely easy.

Until now, everything has appeared as if the content has been erased from the RIAA start page. Let's hope that they have backup copies, or we will not.
