The robot explores little-studied areas of the ocean, we observe in real time (until August 16)

The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration provided an excellent opportunity for anyone. This possibility is the observation of the study of unexplored or unexplored areas of the deep-water canyons of the USA. At the same time, it is possible to observe the operation of a deep-sea robot in real time, without any problems. That is, you see everything that gets into the focus of the camera of the robot, and at the same time with the team of researchers on the ship that launched the robot. This is another plus of our time, because who previously could have dreamed of such a thing?

The NOAA website has a live video streaming, and indeed, in real time. Both we and NOAA scientists see everything at the same moment. In addition, a discussion of the current situation, which is conducted by scientists on the ship, you can listen. It should be noted that this is not the first such popular science "action" organized by NOAA. In July, it was also possible to observe the work of a deep-sea robot, and see everything that gets into the camera focus of the device.

Work is not done around the clock, of course. Join (virtually, of course) to the team of researchers can be from 8:30 AM ET to 4:00 PM ET. Unfortunately, Habrahabr does not allow inserting the translation code directly into the post. Therefore, here is a link where you can observe the course of studying deep-sea cannons.

Now, by the way, research is in full swing. I have personally seen some crustacean, frozen on the ocean floor, grabbed by the camera of the robot. Scientists discuss everything they see without much emotion, but to listen to what they are talking about is very curious.
