Expert session was held in Kazan IT Park Russian Startup Rating
Last Saturday, August 10, 2013, an expert session of the Russian Startup Rating was held in Kazan at the press center of Kazan IT Park. The organizer and partner of the event was the Kazan IT Park Business Incubator. During the expert session, the investment attractiveness of start-up projects presented in two main areas was assessed: IT / Mobile and BioMed / Hi-Tech. Each expert evaluated the project according to three main criteria - the product, the market and the team. The experts included:
- Aidar Bulatov , director of the UK Bulatovgroup;
- Mikhail Korneev , entrepreneur, co-founder of GreenfieldProject, OhMyMentor and MoscowDjango community projects;
- Mikhail Kazartsev , Managing Partner of IT-Online-Venture Sowing Investments Fund;
- Dmitry Kalaev , director of acceleration and educational programs of the Internet Initiatives Development Fund;
- Vasily Yuzenchuk , marketing director of FICS Group of Companies, consultant, trainer.
14 projects were submitted to the court of experts:
- RoadAR - all-in-one mobile application for drivers.
- Eleven - voice call transfer system to text log.
- Maidenly - a project in the field of e-commerce, in the selection and sale of clothing for Muslims.
- Feelfolio – online psychological assistance service
- Luscinia - mobile application, voice guide on the cultural and historical sites of the tourist capitals of the world.
- Speaking phone - emergency notification system via intercom.
- Ennova - a project to create 3D-printers.
- Track Service - an intelligent vehicle monitoring system.
- Wholesale + Service - accounting system for companies engaged in trade.
- Tele - accounting is a software package designed to organize data collection and processing centers (DCPC) of automated information and measurement systems for commercial metering of power and electricity, technical metering and quality control of electricity.
- BestPediatr - a unified city contest "My favorite doctor"
- Columbis - Saas service to automate the work of travel agencies.
- Cafe4Me - Saas-service for online pre-order in the cafe.
- Avtozaper - a system that facilitates the search and purchase of auto parts.

For each project, time was allotted for the presentation and the question and answer session. During the expert session, many questions were asked about the market where the project is planned to be active, its development stage and growth prospects. Experts were especially interested in the question of the project’s investment needs and the team that is working on it. Experts noted the strengths and weaknesses of the projects, gave practical advice on how to improve startups. Upon completion of the main part of the event, everyone could ask the experts their questions and discuss projects in person.
At the expert session, presented their projects from Kazan and other cities of Russia. One of the projects its founder presented using Skype.
During the Russian Startup Rating session, experts were able to get to know promising startups more closely. Start-up entrepreneurs themselves have gained invaluable experience in communicating with recognized professionals in their field.
