A new version of
RhodeCode has been released - a web interface to Mercurial and Git, the “competitor” gitlab, gitolite and other “self-hosted github” systems. Changelog for version 2.0 is not so big, perhaps the most significant - a slightly modified look:

But the distribution model has changed dramatically, which is now aimed at more active monetization.
Users can choose from the following licenses:
')
- Startup (up to 20 users, without support, free).
- Business (up to 50 users, with support, $ 49 / month).
- Enterprise (unlimited users, with support, $ 299 / month).
- License for educational institutions, open-source projects and non-profit organizations for the protection of human rights (unlimited number of users, free).
The currently available license options have several drawbacks:
- The minimum period for which you can purchase a license is a year.
- In case the license has expired, the number of users will be limited to 20.
In the future, the list of licenses will be expanded (perhaps next year there will be versions without restrictions on the number of users and without support).
The RhodeCode core (all python code and HTML files) is still available under the GPL license, all other files (including, but not limited to, CSS and images) are under a
more limited license (under the terms of which, however, after August 1, 2015 all resources will be distributed under the GPL).
The latest “non-Enterprise” version of RhodeCode, which will soon be available on
pypi.python.org - 1.7.2. Starting with version 2.0, only the Enterprise version will be developed.
