Good afternoon, dear habrayuzer.
Foreword
At work there was a need to create backup copies of projects, for this it was decided to put the server. There is no money for an expensive, high-quality and stable server, so I had to take an ordinary dual-core computer, but at the same time buy 2 reliable HDD and SmartUPS. After all, we want, in the event of a voltage drop or light cutoff, to shut down the server correctly, thereby leaving our data intact. With the hardware, we decided, now a little about the software, the choice fell on the free program Cobian Backup - this program is convenient and intuitive. And now about everything in more detail.
What i have
Server: Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM, SmartUPS for the server and 2 HDD for storing backup

The article does not describe in detail the network and group policies of users, since everyone can be configured differently.
There should not be a password on the server, otherwise there will be “problems” that are not described in the article.
Conclusion
We received a simple data backup system, in which it is easy to connect new workstations by performing the
Client configuration according to the instructions.
UPD.
Dear readers, please do not minus and understand, nevertheless, about what the article is and why it is so and no other way (read my comments).
Well, and still I'm new here and I do not know what you want to see and what does not. Here the question is not what to choose and what is not, there is a ready / assembled server computer and there is a task to make a backup.
And if you don’t like it at all, it’s better to pass by instead of writing empty comments and minus, ok?
