Inspired by the
post about a girl from California, Jennifer Devalt , who decided to do something on the site every day, I also decided to force myself to start learning JS and RR in this way. Jennifer decided to hold this marathon seven days a week without days off.
In the same post, I first expressed the opinion that we should take an example. And then he
promised to do it . And I even had a person who promised to control me: this is Svetlana, the Quetz
habraiser . I want to thank her, because now I can’t quietly close the topic.
Conditions are:
- 360 days, every day a small script.
- Any force majeure happens, so I’m laying 5 days off.
')
I'm going to study:
- JS,
- Ruby on Rails,
- jQuery.
I spread on
your site . Criticism and control by habrasoobschestva extremely welcome. Thank. You are welcome.
How are things
August 4: the tenth day. I am a little exhausted, because I put complex tasks on me, which I take from 3 to 6 hours each time, and finish after midnight. Therefore, I plan to reduce the daily load.
It so happened that on the second day I could not complete the task and "one life was burned down." There are 4 more in stock.
By the way, site traffic has risen from about 20 to about 60 visitors, with about 18 people coming directly from the bookmarks during these 10 days, that is, they control me. And it is right.
August 26: month. Finished the toy "Jumping Ball". It turned out that I did it for 28 days. 1 day off is still consumed. I thank everyone who controls and writes to me. The next month I set myself the task to get deeper into the object model.
September 5: Forced to state the complete failure of the experiment. I am in Sevastopol, the weather is bad, the Internet is simply not what. Local Wi-Fi envies a 12-year-old dialup in Tver. In addition, I have with me only a tablet with an android on board, which turned out to be terribly inconvenient for writing code. Sad but true. When I return, I will think what to do next. Apparently, I'll start all over again.
Tradition follower
While I am getting ready to get involved in a new marathon again,
Bringoff declared about his desire
to write code every day too . I wish him success and I register as one of those who will control him.
Sources
I thank all users who advised to share the source code. I seriously thought of settling on Gitkhub.
Fresh source (August 26) . Or the
githab version.
4 years later
Although I failed the marathon, but the result of my efforts was. While I was trying my strength, Alexander Borisov noticed me and invited me to the company as an intern. 2 months I went to training, then immediately began to work, albeit on simple tasks on the rails. A year later there were difficult times and we peacefully dispersed. In order not to waste time, I undertook to study Python, Angular, D3. And I quickly got a job offer in Tver in another company, where I’m working now.
So the main conclusion that I made for myself: always learn new things and your life will begin to improve.
