Roskomnadzor announced the introduction of the registry of sites with "pirated" movies

A few hours ago, an article appeared on Habré with a call to fight the law on blocking websites, supporting the appropriate petition. Probably, it is really necessary to act, because the “anti-piracy law”, FZ-187 , has already come into effect today. And the registry of sites with “pirated” films has already been created, so all the promises of the fighters against “piracy” seem to be implemented.

The register includes “resources that distribute films, including films, television films, or information necessary for obtaining them using information and telecommunications networks that are distributed without the permission of the copyright holder or other legal basis.”

It is reported that through this site will be taken information from the owners, regarding court decisions (Moscow City Court) on restricting access to sites with unlicensed copies of films.

In order to add a resource to the list, the right holder must attach to the application for blocking the court decision, which has already been mentioned above.

Due to the electronic interaction established with the Moscow City Court, verification of the existence of such a court decision will take a minimum amount of time from officials of the Federal Service. Upon receiving a message from the copyright holder, Roskomnadzor will act in accordance with the procedure approved by law No. 187-FZ.
